Day 1, Picton-Blenheim (about 35km)
First day on the saddle ! And it turns out
it’s not the best first day we could have had. As a matter of fast, after
barely 30 kms, the tube of Tristan suddenly burst. Luckily, a New Zelander stop
by with his car to help us. His name is Mickael. He gently ask us to follow him
until Blenheim to fix the flat. Actually, the town is very close from where we
are.
Unfortunately, we realised it’s the New
Zealand’s national day, therefore every single store are closed. We have to
wait til tomorrow to change the tyre. Tonight we will sleep under the stars in
a wide park located into town.
