Day 8, Petone – Upper Hutt (about.30km)
First real day on the saddle since our chain
problem back to St Arnaud. The road we are taking (SH2) which is the second
national road in NZ, is quite heavy loaded, mostly cars and trucks. This is
actually more exhausting that we though. The road is not particularly beautiful
and only a few shy hills are surrounding the road on the left, and the sea on
the right. We don’t face any problem though. Tonight we will rest in a
campground, right after Upper Hutt.
